QUADRUPEL CROWN OF GRAVEL WINNAARS

Monuments of Cycling is very excited to announce the 2023 winnaars of the Quadrupel Crown of Gravel Series, Flavia Oliveira Parks and Adam Roberge, both clinching their second Quadrupel Crown victories in as many years.

Flavia secured her victory in Kansas, the penultimate BWR on the calendar, which was one of two mandatory events of the seven BWRs that comprise the Quadrupel Crown of Gravel Series. Adam, on the other hand, had to attend the finale in Queretaro, Mexico to leapfrog several riders to get to the top of the podium. He narrowly beat out Pete Stetina for the win, with Drew Dillman third, and a whole host of locals who created a dynamic race rounding out much of the top 10. Adam won the biggest pay day of the year with his Mexican victory and banked the winnings of the Quadrupel Crown with his trip south of the border with compatriot Alexis Cartier, who finished 8th overall.

The Quadrupel Crown was the largest gravel series in the world in 2023 with seven Belgian Waffle Rides throughout North America. The Series commenced on March 5, 2023, in Cave Creek, Arizona, and wrapped up on November 26, 2023, in Queretaro, Mexico – both brand new venues for the BWR Unroad Experience in 2023. We also added the spectacular Vancouver Island venue for BWR BC, which took place on May 28 as the kick-off to summer in Cowichan Valley. The other four BWRs included the 4th annual BWR UT in Cedar City, the 3rd annual BWR NC near Asheville, the 3rd annual BWR KS in Lawrence, and the grandaddy of them all, the 12th annual BWR CA, in San Diego.

The Quadrupel Crown of Gravel Series offered a cash prize purse for the Waffle’s top five performers, where riders took their top four scores from any of the seven BWRs they competed in. Monuments of Cycling is excited to deliver an entirely new approach in 2024 by resurrecting the Tripel Crown of Gravel Series, which will kick off the 2024 Belgian Waffle Ride Series in full-blown Spring Classic mode, Americana style, with three grand events all taking place within seven weeks. The Tripel Crown is the ultimate showdown for the gods of gravel racing and those who worship them. It's a three-event rowdy rollercoaster of grit and glory, smashing through vastly different gravel playgrounds – The Desert Daydreams, The Mountainous Meadows, The Coastal Canyons. Kicking off in full-blown Spring Classic mode, Americana style, with not one, not two, but three grand events crammed into seven wild weeks of dirty debauchery.
